Company accounts
Year-end accounts with a clearer business story.
Turn your company’s financial records into organised accounts and useful explanations of the results.
Clear work. Practical explanations.
Annual accounts bring together the activity of your company over the financial year. Preparing them well starts with reliable records, a clear understanding of the business and time to resolve questions before the figures are finalised.
Taxwell supports owner-managed companies with accounts preparation that fits the size and nature of the business. We review the information you provide, discuss the adjustments required and explain the main figures so you can see more than a filing document.
What the service can cover
Review and organise the records
Bring bank reconciliations, sales, purchases and year-end balances together. We identify missing information and raise questions about transactions, assets, loans and amounts owed so the accounts have a sound starting point.
Prepare and explain the accounts
Prepare the accounts within the agreed scope and walk you through key figures, including profit, assets and liabilities. We explain significant accounting adjustments and discuss questions before the accounts are approved.
Coordinate the next steps
Agree who will handle approvals, Companies House filing and related Corporation Tax work. Where these services are included together, we coordinate the information so the accounts and tax-return process fit into a clear timetable.
Use the year-end conversation to look ahead.
Accounts show what has happened, but the discussion around them can also help you prepare for the coming year. Changes in margins, customer balances, stock or borrowing may highlight questions worth exploring. We help you understand those movements and identify where more regular management information could be useful.
What we need to get started
- Your bookkeeping records and reconciled business bank statements
- Sales, purchase and expense records for the accounting period
- Details of assets, stock, borrowing and year-end balances
- Previous accounts and information about changes to the company
A straightforward way to work together
- Understand your requirements. We discuss your circumstances, existing records and the support you are looking for.
- Confirm the scope and fee. You know which services are included, who is responsible for each step and what information is needed.
- Agree the next steps. We set a practical process for sharing records, resolving queries and reviewing the work with you.
Before we get started
Are annual accounts and a Corporation Tax return the same thing?
No. They are separate requirements, although the company’s accounts are used in preparing its tax position. We can discuss both services and confirm which preparation and filing work is included in your engagement.
Does accounts preparation include an audit?
No. An audit is a separate assurance engagement. We establish the company’s requirements and agree the accounts-preparation scope; any audit requirement needs appropriate separate arrangements.
How do I request a quote for this service?
Use the quote-request page or arrange a conversation with Taxwell. Tell us about your business or personal circumstances and the support needed. We review the requirements and confirm the work and fee before the engagement begins.
