Accounting around your work

A personal approach to your finances.

Automotive businesses combine several kinds of financial activity: vehicle purchases, parts, workshop labour, customer deposits and supplier accounts. A busy workshop or sales month can still leave questions about where profit sits and when cash will be available.

Taxwell helps you organise the records behind those activities. We take time to understand your business model and agree the bookkeeping, accounts, tax and payroll support needed to make the numbers more useful.

How Taxwell can help

01

Sales, purchases and stock records

Keep customer invoices, vehicle purchases, parts and stock information clearly connected. Better records help explain what has been sold, what remains on hand and which costs relate to the period.

02

Accounts and VAT administration

Prepare the returns and accounts within your agreed package. If your transactions involve a VAT margin scheme or another particular treatment, we review the facts and records before agreeing the work required.

03

Staff costs and business performance

Support payroll and review the costs behind workshop or sales activity. Management information can help you consider overheads, outstanding balances and the financial effect of changes to staffing or capacity.

Understand the cash tied up in stock and work.

Money invested in vehicles or parts may remain tied up until a sale is completed or a customer pays. Reviewing stock, supplier terms and outstanding invoices together gives a more complete view than the bank balance alone. We can help you organise that information for regular business decisions.

What to bring to our first conversation

  • Vehicle and parts purchase records, sales invoices and deposits
  • Stock records and details of work in progress
  • Supplier statements, bank records and finance agreements
  • Payroll information and previous accounts or VAT returns

Working with Taxwell

  1. Start with a conversation. Tell us how you work, what is already in place and where you need support.
  2. Agree the services and fee. We confirm the work, responsibilities and information required before the engagement begins.
  3. Build a practical routine. We agree how records will be shared, raise questions and review your needs as the business changes.
Your questions

Before we get started

Can you help with records for used-vehicle sales?

We can discuss the purchase and sales information needed for your business and any relevant VAT treatment. A margin scheme should not be assumed to apply simply because a vehicle is second-hand.

Do you support repair and servicing businesses as well as traders?

Yes. Explain your mix of work so we can agree the records, reporting and routine services appropriate to the business, including any payroll support required.

How do I get a quote?

Use our quote-request page or arrange a conversation with Taxwell. Tell us about your activities, the records you keep and the services you need. We review the requirements and agree the scope and fee with you.
